Our Approach
Significant preparation was the key to success in this matter. Working with other service providers to obtain supporting materials regarding our client’s state of mind at the time of offending, their family circumstances and the impact on their dependants if they were to receive a term of imprisonment and character references. The client also engaged senior counsel who was instructed on the day by our team.
Outcome
The Court imposed a 24-month Community Corrections Order with 200 hours of unpaid community work. No immediate imprisonment was imposed.
